Canton gains 417 yards in 40-0 rout of Livonia Churchill

LIVONIA - Canton High School's football team got three touchdowns and a two-point conversion from tailback Reggie Joyner and rolled to a 40-0 win over Livonia Churchill.

The Chiefs averaged nearly eight yards on 44 carries. Joyner led the effort with 133 yards, including scoring runs of 16, nine and 40 yards. He also caught a two-point conversion from quarterback Dave Nicoloff in Canton's second quarter.

Salem 29, Wayne Memorial 7 -Salem (2-5, 2-4 Western Lakes Activities Association) led 14-0 at halftime and rushed for 362 yards on 57 carries. Tailback Mike Kerul ran for 168 yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Chris Drabicki ran for 152 yards. "We finally put our offense back together and moved the ball," Salem coach Bob Cummings said. "And our defense worked hardest tonight."
