From Local Reports

CANTON TOWNSHIP - Once the Canton High School football team got warmed up, Northville did not stand a chance.

The Chiefs trailed 3-0 early in the second quarter, but the first of Reggie Joyner's three touchdown runs gave them the lead for good as they cruised to a 42-3 Western Lakes Activities Association victory. Livonia Stevenson's victory over Westland John Glenn gives Canton at least a share of the conference title.

Brandon Wilcox returned two third-quarter punts for touchdowns to conclude the scoring. Joyner finished with 19 carries for 122 yards while Corey Rutledge needed 10 carries to gain that exact total. Canton (7-1, 6-1 WLAA) held Northville to -16 rushing yards and 50 overall.

FRIDAY'S ROUNDUP

Walled Lake Western 42, Salem 20 - Chris Drabicki threw for a touchdown and ran for another for Salem (2-6). Brian Bradley caught a touchdown pass and Jason Lewis ran 60 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown for the Rocks.
